CRIF, a leader in credit solutions and credit information systems, is pleased to announce its inclusion, for the second consecutive year, in the prestigious “Sustainability Leaders 2024” ranking in Italy.
The ranking was compiled by Il Sole24 Ore newspaper in collaboration with Statista, an independent institute specializing in market research, rankings and corporate data analysis.
The “Sustainability Leaders” list represents the top 200 large Italian companies marked by their commitment to sustainability, highlighting those enterprises demonstrating greater attention to environmental and social issues. The study analyzed around 1,500 Italian companies, considering 45 key performance indicators (KPIs) derived from sustainability reports and financial statements, relating to the three pillars of sustainability: environmental, social, and economic.
Once again in 2024, CRIF Italy stood out for its policies and concrete actions aimed at promoting sustainable approaches, both inside and outside the company. Factors considered included CO2 emissions, energy and water consumption, the presence of women in managerial positions, attention to the health and safety of workers, support for local communities, transparency, and economic performance.
The company’s focus on ESG issues led to consideration in 2022 of the need to integrate qualitative and quantitative objectives in the short, medium and long term, resulting in the introduction of the first Sustainability Plan for 2023-2025. This plan is aligned with the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the UN 2030 Agenda and is aimed at implementing the sustainability journey initiated several years ago.
The CRIF ESG Strategy encompasses the three “Environmental”, “Social” and “Governance” pillars, with action areas and short, medium, and long-term KPIs identified for each. The Sustainability Plan 2023-2025 was published and made available to all stakeholders as part of the Sustainability Report 2022.
Moreover, to strengthen Sustainability Governance and promote the integration of ESG factors into corporate strategies, CRIF set up two Committees in 2024: the Sustainability Committee, aimed at guiding the company on its sustainability journey, and the Equal Opportunities Committee, focused on managing and monitoring Diversity & Inclusion issues, with a particular focus on gender equality.
This recognition further underscores CRIF’s commitment, highlighting its role as a responsible company aware of the importance of integrating economic growth and socio-environmental well-being, contributing daily to creating value for the community and the local area in which the company operates.
